Bison Transport's Jack Fielding is adding another award to his already decorated trophy shelf. Fielding has been named the 2016 Canadian Trucking Alliance and Volvo Canada National Driver of the Year. The annual contest identifies and honours the professional Drivers on the road who drive safely, give back to their communities, and enhance the public's image of the trucking industry. Fielding received this award at the Ontario Trucking Association's Annual Convention on November 10 in Toronto, Ontario.
Fielding has more than 18 years of professional driving experience at Bison and has accumulated more than 2 million consecutive accident-free miles in his time with the company, including miles in our Long Combination Vehicle Division. He has well over 4 million accident-free miles in his 40-year professional Driving career. He's been an In-cab instructor at Bison, and is a past member of Bison's Driver Advisory Board. He's won the 2013 Company Driver of the Year by the US-based Truckload Carriers Association and the 2015 Driver of the Year by Volvo Trucks Canada and the Ontario Trucking Association.
"When you think of professionalism and dedication in a Driver, Jack immediately comes to mind," says Rob Penner, Bison Transport's President. "Drivers like Jack are why Bison Transport has achieved the reputation of safety and professionalism we have. We are proud to have Jack Driving for Bison, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved award."
